it's like this...
it comes to a pointwhere
i am no longer able
to feel anything
this numbness
it surrounds me
blocks out everything
only extreme feelings
get through
that thick blanket
covering me
these short burst
of emotions
are my only contact
to life
besides those
i'm just
floating along
getting on
without much feeling
numb
maybe
it is better like that
with this numbness
life passes
like a blur
den maybe
i'll be able
to forget
and leave
these haunting memories
behind...
